Best Cubicle Decoration Award 2008 in GSS

Guys
You know one thing.... My team (cubicle) got a prize for Best Cubicle Decoration Award. My theam is integration between Christmas, New Year & Sankranthi (Pongal). Look at the photographs...

Other Team (Night Shift) got another prize they have made their cubicle awsome with traditional theam comlete sankranthi. Look at the below photo.

Technical Solution

Hi All,

Today I have demonstrated a CMMI Engineering Process area Technical Solution (TS), which is a Level 3 Process Area.

Definition:

“The purpose of Technical Solution is to design, develop, and implement solutions to requirements. Solutions, designs, and implementations encompass products, product components, and product-related life-cycle processes either singly or in combinations as appropriate.”

Techinical Solution Fig.1

This process area mainly talks about the design, develop and implement solutions in Software Development Life Cycle. In this process we will be getting products, product-components and product related life-cycle processes.

This process mainly focuses on the following:
  • Evaluating and selecting solutions
  • Developing detailed designs for the selected solutions
  • Implementing the designs as a product or product component

This process area expect customer requirements/technical requirements as inputs and which produces Design Document (HLD/LLD) and architecture diagrams, coding standards.

While designing we need to more focus on creating alternative solutions for the given requirements which will be having the following considerations.

  • Cost of development, manufacturing, procurement, maintenance and support, etc.Performance
  • Complexity of the product component and product-related lifecycle processes
  • Robustness to product operating and use conditions, operating modes, environments, and variations in product-related lifecycle processes
  • Product expansion and growth
  • Technology limitations
  • Sensitivity to construction methods and materials
  • Risk
  • Evolution of requirements and technology
  • Capabilities and limitations of end users and operators
  • Characteristics of COTS product

Techniques and methods that facilitates effective design

  • Prototypes
  • Structural models
  • Object – Oriented design
  • Entity relationship models
  • Design reuse
  • Design patterns
Using this process area we can capture various measures which is used for CMMI Level 4 and Level 5 processes.
  • Effort and funds expended for each solutions design task
  • Status of product requirements subjected to technical solution
  • Measures include, but are not limited to, number of components satisfactorily designed, integrated architecture of the technical solution developed.

Welcome Note

Welcome you all.
It's a pleasure to have a personal blog for me.
We will be enjoying and sharing knowledge.
